Commenting Guidelines

The 30-day public commenting period for the Draft 2016 RTP/SCS Amendment #2 is open until Monday, May 8, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. (PST). SCAG is committed to improving regional decision-making by providing leadership and consensus building on key plans and policies. The agency understands how vital public involvement is to this process and this webpage provides information on how interested parties can comment on the Draft 2016 RTP/SCS Amendment #2. You can submit comments in one of three ways:

  1. Email your comments to us at rtpscs@scag.ca.gov. Please submit any attachments in an unlocked PDF format and/or in Microsoft Word. If submitting a signed letter in PDF format, please also consider attaching a corresponding Microsoft Word document. This will help SCAG staff ensure that comments are accurately recorded.
  2. Mail a letter to us at*:

Unless you are attending the public hearing, all comments must be in writing and they must be received during the comment period. There are a couple of ways to submit comments.

Emailing comments: The easiest and fastest way to submit your comments via email to rtpscs@scag.ca.gov. Comments submitted via email will be routed to the appropriate SCAG staff person to review. Comments submitted via email can have attachments. Please submit any attachments in an unlocked PDF format and/or in Microsoft Word. How Are Comments Used?

Comments are reviewed and appropriate changes to the Draft 2016 RTP/SCS Amendment #2 will be incorporated as part of the process of finalizing the amendment.

When Will the Final 2016 RTP/SCS Amendment #2 be Available?

We anticipate that the Final 2016 RTP/SCS Amendment #2 will be adopted and made available to the public in July 2017.
